Fresh Cut Flowers
The best time of year at the farm market is when cut flowers are abundant! In late spring we plant the field behind the market full of flowers for cutting; from sunflowers to zinnias, and statice to ageratum, each handtied bouquet is unique and fresh. Fresh-cut flowers will be available June – September, weather depending. Call for availability.
The better you care for your flowers, the longer they will last. When you get your flowers home give them a fresh cut with sharp scissors. Fill a vase with cool water. You don’t need store bought cut-flower food to maintain the life of your flowers; you just need to add a little acid and a little sugar!
